He confessed his life to Christ at an early age. Willie was employed with National Carriers. Willie departed this life on March 26,2012. Willie was preceded in death by his father, Otha Speights, Sr.; stepfather, Manual Mitchell; sisters, Mary Louise Sherfield and Juanita Richardson. Willie leaves to cherish memories: his mother, Lucy Mae Mitchell; wife, Madeline Riley Speights; sisters, Gynell Riddle, Baton Rouge, LA, Jean Payne, Baton Rouge, LA, Ruth Haile, St. Francisville, LA; brothers, Otho Speights, Jr. St. Francisville, LA, Rickey Mitchell, St. Francisville, LA, Lonnie Speights, Baton Rouge, LA; brothers-in-law, Henry Hurd (Carmen), Port Hueneme, CA, Marshall Hurd, St. Louis, MO, and Samuel Hurd, Sr. (Glenda), Belleville, IL; also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Interment -Lake Charles Cemetery .
