Life ReflectionsWesley Raymond Whiteside was born on July 22, 1944 to Raymond Arthur and Gladys Jewel Whiteside in Jonesburg, Missouri. His father and sister, Gloria preceded him in death. Wess lived his 67 years to the fullest, enjoying life as fun loving, caring and with a great sense of humor which followed him even to his death. Wess accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age, later joining Olive Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Wess was educated in the Kirkwood Public Schools. In 1961, he was inducted into the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1963. Wesley married Maxine Cooper on December 12, 1998 and together they raised six children. One child, Wayne preceded him death. Wesley was employed by Chrysler Corporation for 34 years and retired in 1995. After his retirement, he and Maxine's pastime was camping and fishing at Lost Valley with family and friends. On Tuesday, October 18, 2011, Wess received a call from God informing him that his new home was complete. He could move into his new mansion where he would enjoy peace, joy and happiness forever more with no more pain or suffering. Wesley made that peaceful transition we should all long for. Wesley leaves to cherish his precious, beloved memories, a faithful and devoted wife, Maxine; his mother, Gladys, whom he loved dearly and whom she so affectionately called "Bud": children, Devin (Dana) Cooper, Kim (Bruce) Givens; Wesley (Alma) Miller of Hanover, Maryland, Brandon Raymond (Tiara) Whiteside of Houston, Texas, and Tayona Shortridge (Timothy) of Pontoon Beach, Illinois; one caring sister, Sandra (Gerald) Chambers of Fenton, Missouri; one sister-in
