Life Reflections Wallace Leonard Patterson was born to the late Lawyer Pattersonand Bertha Lee Roebuck-Patterson on May 18, 1948 in Mound City, Illinois.He was the eleventh child of eleven siblings. Wallace accepted Christ and was baptized at Zion Travelers Missionary BaptistChurch in Mound City at an early age. Wallace graduated from Meridian High School Class of 1967. He later joined the United States Army, as his six older brothers had done.He served in the Vietnam War during service and later received an honorable discharge. Wallace moved to St. Louis after his military service. He found employment atUniversity City School System as a maintenance worker until retiring May 2010. Wallace loved his family, he loved the Lord. He loved to read the Bible and heloved to write. Wallace was a man of many talents, but mostly known for drawingbeautiful pictures and writing prophetic poetry. Wallace joined Communion Church Ministries where he taught in the youth ministries.He did various jobs around the church to beautify it and he did general upkeep of the building.He was often referred to as "Brother Wallace". After some illness Wallace was called home by the Lord to get his reward on July 14, 2021.Wallace's niece, Cynthia Mosley took special care of him as his health began to fail. Preceding Wallace in death were his father, Lawyer Patterson and mother, Bertha Patterson, four brothers, John, Nathaniel, Cecil and James Patterson;three sisters, Viola Patterson-Young, Margaret Patterson-Hurst and Rosie Lee Patterson.He leaves to mourn him: two brothers, Floydell Patterson, Wardell (Rubye) Pattersonand one sister, Christine Patterson-Edwards; A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
