Vivian Ruth Myers

Life's Reflections"I don't know what lies ahead, but I know God holds the future" Vivian Ruth Myers was the only child born to parents, Lonnie Newland and Ruth Mae Edwardson June 13, 1944. Both parents as well as her stepfather, Sam Wilson preceded her in death. Vivian was educated in the St. Louis public schools and was a member of the class of January1962, and was a proud graduate of the great historic Charles H. Sumner High School (home of the Sumner 'Bulldogs"). As a teenager, Vivian confessed her belief in Christ and was united with Washington Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church where she remained for over 40 years. In 2003, she united with St. Luke A.M.E. Church. During the final phrase of her high school education, Vivian met and fell in love with Ellis Myers.The couple was united in holy matrimony on June 24, 1962. God blessed their union with a daughter, Valerie Michelle, and a son, Ellis Edward. Her husband preceded her in death. Vivian had a progressive clerical career. She worked at the State Bank of Wellston and later atLandmarks Bank. Her final place of employment was Hussman Refrigeration Company. Due to illnessVivian took early retirement from Hussman in 2001. Vivian loved people and met no strangers. She was a great conversationalist with a magnetic person-ality and a penchant for helping others. Vivian responded to the call of out Heavenly Father and passed from this life into the hereafter onDecember 28, 2015. Vivian leaves to cherish her memory: a beloved daughter, Valerie Michelle Myers; a beloved son,Ellis Edward Myers (wife, Elma); three grandsons, Ellis Austin Myers, Elbert Dean Myers, and Elias DarianMyers; a cousin, Shirley Ruth Emerson; and a host of other relatives and friends.Interment:J.B.
