Victoria Louise Hollowell

October 23, 1933 — March 23, 2017

Life ReflectionsOn October 31, 1933 Dolly (Mitchell) and George Hollowell were blessed with a little girl who they named Victoria Louise Hollowell. She was their first child. She almost didn't make it after birth, but she proved to be strong regardless. In the early stages of her life, Vicky (we always called her by that name) began having seizures and other medical conditions which cut her time in school short. She still manage to learn a lot from her siblings. She (we think) was "allergic" to work be-cause she would make deals with sisters or brothers to do her chores. She did well when it came to saving money, that's why she was able to pay. Victoria spent many years with cousin Edythe (Walker) until she passed. She also spent a number of years at Mary Ryder Home and her last few years at The Pillars of North County. She never married or had children, but she con-sidered all of her nieces and nephews hers! For a short lady, she was strong! Her heavy-handed hair maintenance bought many a tear to our eyes; especially from her brush that doubled as a weapon! Vicky was feisty, liked to sing and dance and always brought a smile or laughter to anyone she came across. She was free spirited and loved the Lord very, very much! She will be lovingly remembered by: sisters: Iris M. Ellens, Ellen C. Webb, sister (deceased) Phyllis Davis; brother: George Hollowell, nieces: Shawn, Dolly, Clara, Sheri, Georgette, Phyllis, Iris, Kitty, April, Ginger; nephews: Thomas Jr., George Jr., Barton Jr., and a plethora of great, great nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
