Verns L. Kibble

Life Reflections Verns L. Kibble was born October 4, 1935 to the late William A. Kibble and Susie Martin Kibble in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama. At an early age, he moved to Tennessee, where he grew up and attended school. He was the fourteenth of fifteen children. His passion and career was truck driving, which allowed him to relocate to Kirkwood, Missouri in 1970. Verns drove trucks as a Mobile Home Foreman until he retired. He surrendered his life to Christ a few years following his transfer to St. Louis, he was a member of Kirkwood Church of God. He served as a deacon, van driver, choir member and continued his Christian walk until he crossed over to Glory. He loved pick-up trucks, fishing and above all family. Verns was known by many names, beloved husband, "Stump Bumper", papa, g-daddy, grandfather, Mr. Red. He was known as Mr. Red by many that loved him in the community. Verns had a Christ like heart and would help anyone in need. He impacted and touched many lives greatly and he will truly be missed. Verns was preceded in death by his parents, thirteen siblings and two children, Verns L. Kibble, Jr. and Vickie J. Bonner. Papa Kibble leaves to cherish his loving memories: his devoted wife, Martha Kibble; daughters, Felisa (Leonard) learner, Suzette Kibble-Hicks of Houston, Texas, Latoya Kibble of St. Louis, Missouri; sons, Billy Kibble, William (ConTina) Kibble, Eric Bonner and Derrick (Lacole) Kibble of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Johnnie Sue Mastin of Murfreesboro, Tennessess; thirty plus grandchildren; thirty plus great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends.
