Life ReflectionsVernal "JR" was born in St. Louis, MO April 17, 1951. He was the first born of Mr. and Mrs. Vernal E. Williams, Sr. JR had at least ten younger siblings. Vernal JR was a very special person who needed special care. His mother, the late Mother Willa Mae Ford, was his main caregiver until she became ill, then his sister, Mrs. Sondra A. Duncan, became his main caregiver. Vernal JR never married but he was the most loving person one could ever meet. While he was able, he loved to greet everyone with a handshake and a big beautiful smile. When JR. was younger he use to like to sing different little songs around the house. Vernal JR. did not attend the public schools, but he learned much and was involved in educational and social activities through the different programs that he attended. Our JR. was loved by everyone who got to know him. And though he became wheelchair bound in 1995, he yet kept his sweet smile. Yes, he will, surely be missed by all of us who were close to him. Vernal JR.'s parents, Rev. V.E. Williams and Willa Mae Williams, Ford, and also three of his siblings, Maurice, Stephen, and Vera Mae all preceded him in death. Now, he leaves to cherish his memories: Sondra (5panky), Verlyn, George, (Pat) Mark, Ellis, Marlyn (Daryl) and Marvin, Kurt and Loretta; plus, there are a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends left to remember him with love.
