Thomas James White

Thomas James White was born on February 14. 1915 in St. Paul, Missouri to Simon and Cora White. He was one of eleven children. His parents and his siblings all preceded him in death. He attended Franklin High School in st. Charles County Missouri and Sumner High School in St. Louis Missouri. Thomas served his country in the United States Army during World War II. achieving the rank of Technical Sargeant. He received the American Defense Service Medal,The Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star. He united in HoJy Matrimony to Mildred McKay in 1947, who also preceded him in death. He retired from the United states Postal Service after many years of dedicated service. He was a fuithful member of the Washington Metropolitan AME Zion Church until he departed life on Thursday April 9.2009. Thomas loved sports, fishing and golfing and was an extra-ordinary bowler. He leaves to cherish his memory his stepson, Russell, a devoted neice and nephew. Valada and Donald and a host of great neices, nephews and many cousins and friends. Internment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery Saint Louis, Missouri .
