Thelma Joyce Campbell

April 27, 1933 — August 24, 2011

Life Reflections Thelma Joyce (Stroud) Campbell was born April 27, 1 933 in St. Lous, Missouri to the union of Arthur Lee and Marie Stroud. Joyce was the fourth of eight children. Joyce was educated in St. Louis City Public Schools. She acquired an Associate Degree and numerous other college credits. Joyce was educator in the Special School District. Her gift and passion \would shine as she worked for many years with children of special disabilities. In November of 19548 Joyce united in Holy Mattrimony to Charles Campbell II. She was a loving and devoted mother, Joyce often traveled from state to state visiting all of her children and Grandchildren. In 1960 she accepted Jesus as her personal Savior. She attended Kennerly Temple C.O.G.IC. She later moved her membership in 1 973 to San Francisco Temple where she remained faithful until her death under the leadership of Bishop Dwight H. McDaniels. Her love for God made her a great example to young ladies both inside and outside of the church. She would often remind them to take care of themselves, look pretty, and a little make up wouldn't hurt. She was on excellent seam stress, who loved putting together outfits for church services on Sundays. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; Arthur and Marie Stroud, three brothers: Rai Dawood, Archie Stroud, and Eugene, two sisters: Doris Jean and Marie. She leaves to cherish her memories six children Valerie Renee Banks of St Louis, James Ill (Laquietta) of Chicago, Illinois, Mark (Aunkul) of St. Louis, Michael, Keith (Flora) of Bloomfield, New Jersey, and of Atlanta, Georgia. Two sisters: Yvonne Stroud of St. Louis and Nancy Wcodson (Woody) of New York, New York, 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Faithful Friends. Interment- Laurel Hill Cemetery 2000 North Pennsylvania St. Louis, MO 63133 .
