Life Reflections Sis. Syvilla Williams was born April 10, 1919. Her parents preceded her in death. She had two brothersRev. Virgil Perry and Elijah (Duke) Perry who preceded her in death. One sister-in-law, Rose Perry, also preceded her in death. She had two nephewsJoseph and Virgil, Jr. who preceded her in death and one niece, Verlene, who preceded her in death. She also has a nephew, Victor Perry. Sis. Williams' family moved to St. Louis, MO in 1946 and found a church home at Mercy Seat Baptist Church. She and her brother, Rev. Virgil Perry, Sr. ventured out and he started his own church. She accepted Christ at an early age and was very active. She and her brother were awesome singers, prayer warriors and friends.Auntie was a very hard worker for the Lord and in the church. Her favorite songwas "How Far Am I From Canaan", She and her brother, Rev. Virgil Perry, Sr., sung together. Auntie would walk down the aisle strutting on her song (smile). The church would just light up. In 1960, Rev. Virgil Perry, Sr. became the Pastor at Mount Bethany, then they united with Rev. Leman Hope at Greater New Life.In 1994, they combined both churches and became Bethany New Life. Rev. Leman Hope was her Pastor until God called him home. Then, Pastor Ben O.Chandler was her new Pastor until God called her home. Auntie wasn't a strangeranywhere she went. She resided at Rosewood Care Center with her nephew, Virgil Perry, Jr., until God called them both home the same day, September 13, 2019, onehour apart. The Clergy said they both were going to a banquet in heaven and theyleft together to accompany each other. Sis. Syvilla Williams leaves to cherish her memories: One Great Nephew, Richard Perry (Beverly); 2 Nieces, Birdie Rice and Sherry Porter; 3 Great Nieces, Renee Hall,Carmen Bonner (Kenneth), and Carla Bartram (Jeremy); and a host of nieces and nephews "Auntie, you will be missed.
