Stanley was born on October 18, 1955, in Saint Louis, Missouri born to the union of Leon William Harrison and Janie Adams Harrison. His father Leon, sister Sherea and nephew Warren Jr. proceeded him in death. Stanley accepted Christ when he joined East Union Missionary Baptist under the leadership of Rev E. Henry Adams in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was educated in the Saint Louis Public School system in Saint Louis, Missouri. Stanley worked at Schnucks Warehouse and The Hershey Candy Company. He was well known for being the family man. Whatever his family asked of him, he tried his best to make it possible. Stanley tried to spread his love and be a helping hand to everyone who came in contact with him. He was well known in the neighborhood as "Stan the Man". Stanley was known for being a good cook. Whenever the church had an event, you could count on Stanley being in the kitchen frying some fish and chicken. Stanley departed this life on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 7:27pm at Barnes Hospital. He leaves his cherished memories to his mother Janie Adams Harrison, two sisters Valerie and Rene, three brothers Robert, Warren (Toni) and Carleton Sr, four aunts, two uncles and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
