Sharon Renee Franks

Life Reflections

Sharon was the sixth child born of ten children to Minnie Shepperd and Tommy Singleton, two brothers, Tommy and Joseph, a daughter (Marian Jacobs) and her mother preceded her in death,

Sharon was born in Kinloch, MO.  She attended Dunbar Elementary School in Kinloch.  The family also attended The Devotional Baptist Church of Kinloch.

I n 1968, when Sharon was 11 years old, the family moved to Kirkwood, MO.  The family attended Douglas Memorial Church of God in Christ in Kirkwood, MO.  After attending Dunbar Elementary, she finished out her elementary years at Turner Elementary, then attended Nipher Junior High School.  Sharon went on to get her High School diploma from Krrkwood High School in 1975.  Sharon then met and married Gary Thomas Franks and to this union 2 daughters were born; Marian Susanna and Christina Louise Franks.

Sharon then relocated her family to Detroit, MI in early 1980, where she resided for the next 17 years.  In that time period Sharon had 3 more children, Billy, Raymond and Asia Franks.  Sharon wanted to return home and do so in July of 1997 and resumed her love of cooking in restaurants.  Sharon then went on to working in caregiving where she later retired.  Sharo loved to sew, cook, listen to music, watch her daytime soaps and spend time with her family.

Sharon leaves may family and friends to cherish her memory.  Sharon is survived by 4 sisters, Estell, Hazel (James), Deborah ad Theresa and 3 brothers, Rayford, Danny (Becky) and Gary.
