Life Reflections Rosie Elizabeth Hubbard was born on May 8, 1925 to Reverend Esky Willie and Cleopatra McKinney in Grenada, Mississippi. She was the third of six children. Both parents and four siblings preceded her in death. Rosie was educated in the public school system in Grenada County. In 1944, she married George Hubbard and to that union six children were born. George preceded her in death in June 1994, along with one grandson Andre "Toby" Hubbard in 1999. One Friday night in 1950, Rosie received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, and joined Battle Temple Church of God in Christ in Grenada, Mississippi. Rosie, her husband, and children moved to Robertson, Missouri in 1953 in search of a better school system for their children. Immediately upon arrival to Robertson, Rosie joined Glory Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder Fred Brown, and later Arthur E. Allen. She served faithfully at Glory Temple until the passing of Elder Allen. Rosie started attending San Francisco Temple Christian Assembly with her daughters Mattie and Georgia. She continued in that congregation until her health began to fail. She was not only a hearer of the Word, but a doer. She gave unselfishly and always showed Agape love to her brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as her community. Rosie believed in treating everyone right. Everyone who knew her knows she truly loved to glorify God. Nurturing her family and being actively involved with her church were her passions. She worked numerous jobs and retired from the Boeing Company. Rosie was also the community hair dresser and she formed long lasting friendships with her clients. She enjoyed traveling and bowling with her children and community friends. Rosie served faithfully and tirelessly until her health began to fail in all that she became involved with. She had her share of disappointments and suffering, but never lost her faith, or stopped thanking God for all His blessings. She was and will continue to be an inspiration to many. On December 14,2009, Rosie began her eternal life. She leaves many cherished memories to her children: Robert (Pat), David (Patricia), Mattie and Georgia, all of St. Louis, MO; Elnora of Long Beach, CA, and Roland (Paula) of Houston, TX; her youngest brother, Robert McKinney of Batesville, MS; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and one "special friend" Mrs. Dorothy Smoots, whom she loved as a daughter. When Tomorrow Starts Wiithout Me When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see, if the sun should rise and find your eyes, all filled with tears for me. I wish so much you wouldn't cry, the way you did today, while thinking of the many things we didn't get to say, I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time that you think of me, I know you miss me too. But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand, that an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand, and said my place was ready in Heaven far above, and that I'd have to leave behind all those things I dearly loved. But when I walked through Heaven's gates,I felt so much at home, when God looked down and smiled at me, from His golden throne. He said, 'This is eternity, and all I've promised you. Today your life on earth is past, but here it starts anew. I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last, and since today's the same day, there's no longing for the past." But you have been so faithful, so trusting and so true, though there were times you did some things you knew you shouldn't do. But you have been forgiven, and now at last you're free, so won't you take my hand now and share my life with me?" So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right here in your heart! Internment: St. Ferdinand Catholic Cemetery Hazelwood, Missouri .
