Roberta Millie Moses

Life ReflectionsRoberta M. Moses was born on May 25, 1921 in Asheville, North Carolina. She was the eldest of seven children born to William and Clara Gray. Roberta departed this life on Tuesday, January 3,2012 at 3:00 a.m. She was preceded in death by both parents, husband, DeWitt Moses, two sisters, Clementine Claiborne and Eloise Wicks, three brothers, Russell Gray, Ferman Gray, and Eugene. Gray, and son, Charles D. Moses. She accepted Christ during her early childhood years. Roberta was baptized April of 1933 at Mount Zion Baptist Church in st. Louis, Missouri. Roberta was united in holy matrimony to DeWitt Moses. To this union, six children were born. She began her career working in the healthcare profession, where she worked for many years before retirement. Roberta was active in her community and church. She participated in several community coalitions and served on the church usher board. Roberta leaves to cherish her memory: brother, Alex Gray and children, Keith A. Gray and Denise Clay; son, William Moses (Melanie); daughter, Ruth A. Robinson; son, Ted G. Moses; son, Lester T. Moses (Dorothy); daughter, Kim P. Rusan (Thomas); grandsons, Michael A. Moses, Joshua Moses, Carl S. Moses, Ted G. Moses It Ted G. Moses-Rhodes III, DeWitt P. Moses, Rev. Terence E. Rusan (Lisa); granddaughters, Cynthia A. Jackson, Kaitlin M. Moses, Diana Nunley (Anthony), Roslyn L. Pearson, Ava L. Shell (Anthoine). Audrey Pearson, Kimmara P. Jackson (James); great- grandchildren, Wayne L. Adams, Renita N.
