Richard was baptized in the Catholic Faith on October 4th, 1931. After high school he entered the Air Force where he served from May 1951 to September 1953; later he entered the Priesthood and even later the Brotherhood, he devoted his life to being a good Christian even while working in the private sector. tie leaves to cherish: his sister, Alice Vaughn of Saint Louis, Missouri; brother, Thomas Vaughn of Lake Tahoe, California; sister, Lucille tIill Vaughn of St. Louis, Missouri, sister, Laura James of Saint Louis, Missouri and brother, Charles Vaughn of Saint Louis, Missouri; also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
