Richard Allen Gaskin, Sr.

Richard would have never been poor for he was rich in numerous life-long friends such as John Grover Wortham and his wife Lena, the Coles, the Houstons and the Paces, the Bonds, the Altons, the Hogues, the Wilsons and the Langstons, many of who joined his family barbeques at their country home outside of Toy, Missouri. There he enjoyed the outdoors and gardening and caring for the acres of land and the lake full of fish. Everyone also knew his love for Beagles as he raised several of them who became his faithful hunting partners. Whether you called him Richard, Jap, Daddy, Pa Pa or Grandpa, Richard Gaskin, was a great person. We will miss that huge toothy smile robust laugh, that husky voice and-that generous spirit and big heart that was so full of love for us. He leaves to remember him his wife Ruby, his sons, their wives, his grandchildren, his brothers Harold and Alfred Gaskin, his nephew Charles Fleming, his cousins Edward Gaskin of Memphis, Margaret Segrest of Vicksburg, Mississippi, many nieces, nephews, cousins and several true friends. We will miss you but we will see you again soon. .
