Obituary I was born Rene' Davenport Cobb, to Ashley and Marie Cobb in Ft. Lauderdale, FL June 4, 1943 Due to the "test ot times' my birth family saw fit that I move up North. Officially I became the daughter of Barnett and Marion Brooks, May 28, 1954My early education started in the segregated schools at Booker T. Washington and James M. Turner of Kirkwood/Meacham Park, MO. I graduated from Kirkwood High School in 1963.I obtained my C.N.A. certificate and started in the workforce as a nursi aide at Barnes Hospital; St. Johns Mercy; and retired from Bethesda-Dilworth Hone after 22 years.I met and married John Robert Aitch and in this union one son, John Anthony Aitch was born.I was raised up by the love of Jesus Christ and was baptized in Unity Missionary Baptist Church of Kirkwood, MO.God blessed Rene' with a "voice of an angel", that she shared in the church and throughout the St. Louis County area. She loved to sing.Her birth parents, one brother, one sister and hr adoptive parents preceded her in death.On Tuesday, March 20, 2012, the first day of spring, God plucked another flower for His garden at 4:15a.m.She leaves to mourn her passing: One son, John Anthony Aitch; two sisters, Marie and Annie; nieces, nephews, cousins Unity M.B. Church family, Norma Johnson, Virginia Shaw, Robyn Hodges, Ronalds Hodges, and a special friend who stood beside her through it all, Genevieve Hodges.I will always cherish our sister - friendship through the years.
