Carter was born on May 14, 1921 at Creve Coeur Lake, Missouri to Bert and Addie Carter, second oldest of four children (John, Kate and Julius all preceded him). Me attended school in the Chesterfield School District. Me was a WWII Veteran he joined the Army in 1941 belonging to the Company M 370 Infantry, last assigned to the Firefighter 383, 15th Engineering Fire Fighting Company, was acting section Chief of a six man fire fighting squad. Corporal Ralph C. Carter received upon completion in 1948, an ftonorable Discharge with Military qualifications as Carbine Marksman along with WWII Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal and WWII Japan Clasp. Me accepted Christ at an early age and became a member at St. Luke A.M.E. April 26, 1964. Me united in Moly Matrimony to Gladys Johnson on June 4, 1952, together raising three daugh- ters, Joyce, Marilyn and Beverly. Me enjoyed golf, bowling, hunting, fishing, traveling and was also a member of the Masons. Ralph departed this life on March 22,2013 at BJC Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Me leaves to celebrate his homegoing: Wife, Gladys E. Carter; three daughters, Joyce Jackson, Marilyn Ragland (Joseph) and Beverly Catlin; sixteen grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great- great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
