Raleigh M. Johnson, Sr. was born September 9, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri to McKinley and Ida B. Johnson.
He surrendered to Christ at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Richmond Heights, Missouri. He met and dated Deborah A. Alton and on February 14, 1992 they united in holy matrimony.
He attended Ranken Technical College and graduated in 1963 as a mechanic. He also attended Forest Park Community College and graduated as a Chef. His most favorable attributes were caring for family, friends and the elderly.
His mother, father, brother McKinley Johnson III and two sons, Jerry and Marvin proceeded him in death.
He leaves to mourn: his wife Deborah A. Johnson; siblings, Ida L. Johnson, Herman Edward Johnson, Gayle P. Brice, Don Clifford Johnson, and Terry (Jennifer) Johnson, and 23 children and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends
