Phyllis Geneva Sebree

July 17, 1950 — September 12, 2022

Phyllis Geneva Robnett Sebree was born July 17, 1950 to Frank and Barbara Robnett. Phyllis was raised in Meacham Park, and attended James Milton Turner, Nipher Jr. Nigh, Kirkwood High, and Meramec Community College.


Phyllis was employed at Kirkwood Public Library, United Postal Savings, Charter Communications, and Edco, Health Information Solutions. She loved to help and encourage others.


Phyllis married George Edward Sebree, Jr., the love of her life, on February 7, 1970. They were inseparable, whenever you saw George, Phyllis was right next to him. They were blessed with one daughter, Chandra Colleen Sebree Taylor, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


Phyllis was baptized at Unity Missionary Baptist Church in 1959 where she stayed until she got married. After her marriage she joined first Baptist Church of Meacham Park and served under her father-In-law, George E. Sebree, Sr. for 10 years. Phyllis' heart was always at Unity Baptist where she considered home. They returned there in 1980. She served as the Assistant Clerk and Junior Sunday School Teacher. She loved her students and loved to sing My Tribute (To God Be The Glory).


On September 12, 2022, Phyllis departed this life in the arms of the Lord. her father, mother, and brother, Frank Robnett, Jr. preceded her in death.


She leaves to cherish her loving memory, a devoted husband, George Sebree, Jr., Daughter, Chandra Taylor (Brian), grandchildren, Nicholas (Caroline), Brian Jr. "13J" (Maya, Christopher (Jannifer), Eric (Ebony), Caleb (Jaelyn), and Tayshiera; four great-grandchildren, a host of, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, god-sister, Janie Hughes, and sister friends, Lynne Ramsey and Stephanie Newton.
