Philip Vickers,Jr

Life Reflections Philip Vickers, Jr. was born on September 3, 1934 in St. Louis, MO to Estelle Bryant and Philip Vickers, Sr. He was the youngest of 3 children. Philip attended Mercy High School in University City. he attend-ed St. Barbara Churchin St. Louis and later St. Christopher in Florissant; then St. Rose Philippine Duchesne. Philip worked for Brinker Tractor Company for 19 years and Ford Motor Company for more than 20 years as a painter until his retirement. Philip met and married Marion Ruth (Fola) Vickers on June 23, 1956; they were married for 65 years. This union produced 4 children; Phyllis Denise and Sandra Lorraine (both of whom preceded him in death), Michael Lynn and Cynthia Joy. Phil enjoyed music, working on cars and building things. He also enjoyed being aroundhis grandchildren and great-grand-children. Philip leaves to cherish in his memory: His wife, Marion Ruth; 2 children, Michael Lynn(Sheryl) and Cynthia Joy Odom (Victor); 8 grandchildren, Philip, Shannon Sanders (Reginald),Tangela, Tenoa (Stephanie), Nicole, Samantha, Kristina, Victoria; 10 great-grandchildrenand a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
