Life Reflection

Paula Renee Washington was born on September I lth, 1964 to the union of David Booker Washington and Willa Bea Weatherspoon in Webster Groves, MO. She was the third born of eight children. She attended Webster Groves High School.

Paula became a devout caregiver of children in her professional life. She was with Strawberry Schools of St. John for 20 plus years. She has influenced so many families and children. She worked hard with all of the infants and always treated the infants and any child that crossed her path with unconditional love.

Paula loved deeply and dearly those who were close to her and she would always extend a helping hand to those in need. Many times she would go out of her way to give to the less fortunate people in her neighborhood that were in need. Her heart was pure and her actions were kind. Paula was a genuine person who spoke from the heart and who's words were very direct. In her later years, Paula experienced a peaceful, content existence that was filled with joy. She loved to laugh and she brought laughter to the hearts of others.

Paula devoted her life to the service of others with a strong emphasis on the well being of children. She was an exceptional mother who always put her kids first and did everything in her power to ensure they were raised with love in their hearts and respect in their nature. Being the last surviving matriarch of the Washington family, she took pride in providing for all that were in need and made sure everyone was good. She was truly a Queen in every sense of the word.

Paula was preceded in death by her mother Willa Bea Weatherspoon and sisters Sharon Alfred, Joanne Washington and Jenean Keller.

She leaves to cherish Her memory: One son, Corey Washington; one daughter, Nikki Grandberry; four grandchildren, Diamond Washington, Tremiel Lee, Neveah Beverly and Bella Alford: She leaves three brothers, Chris Washington, Cleveland Chuck Washington and Andre Washington; and a host of other family and friends
