Patrick Eugene Mills

Obituary Patrck Eugene Mills was the youngest child born to Minnie Weathersby-Mills on February 25, 1969 in St. Louis, Missouri. he was a devoted and loving son as well as a consummate companion to his mother and family. He graduated from Brentwood High School in 1987, where he excelled in hs studies and extracurricular activities such as track and football. Upon graduation, Patrick enlisted in the military. While serving in Germany, he met and married the love of his life, Lourdes Martinez, another young soldier in his unit. After honorable completion of a tour of duty in Desert Storm, they relocated to Louisiana and Maryland while Lourdes completed her military term. The family was elated when they chose to make St. Louis their permanent home. Later on, two sons and a princess made them very proud parents. Most recently, his two sons added to this joy with the births of a grandson and granddaughter. Education was of primary importance to him, and he continued working towards a Bachelors degree in Computer Science at University of Missouri-St. Louis. For all who knew and loved him, he is most affectionately remembered as Chumbly. He enjoyed the love of his devoted wife and friend Lourdes, and it was her unwavering confidence in him that allowed him to invest all he had to give in others. He had a passion for laughter and could truly light up a room with humor and wit that made you embrace life. It was rare to find him without his sketchpad and pencils, and he possesssed a talent for using his art to bring happiness to those in need of comfort. His ministry of the spoken word was also impressive, and he had a generous heart that warmed the souls of family and friends. Patrick was quiet spoken but never hesitated to speak his mind with love and compassion. His most special gift from God was his impressive ability to make life on this earth bearable even in extreme times of difficulty. He will forever continue in our hearts, never to be forgotten. Patrick is survived by his mother Minnie Mills, wife Lourdes Josefina Mills, children Andrew (Gloria), Enrique and Kaitlin, grandchildren Jude and Milani, brothers Michael and James, and sisters Linda, Helen, Wilma, Connie, Janet, Betsy and Cheryl. Patrick also remains within the hearts and minds of many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Interment: J.B. National Cemetery 2600 Sheridan St. Louis, MO 63126 .
