Life ReflectionHer Life Naomi Ruth Cothrine-Johnson was born on August 4, J 943 in Saint Louis, Missouri to James Levi and Mary Ruth Peebles-Cothrine, Sr. She was the oldest girl of8 children. She transitioned from this life to her eternal heavenly home on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 2:24 p.m. Peace be still. Her parents and two brothers, Robert Levi and Titus Neute preceded her in death. Her Journey Naomi Ruth attended Newstead Avenue Missionary Baptist Church where she received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the tender age of J 2. As a faithful, committed member she was very active in the music ministry as she shared her gift of playing the piano. "Na" as she was affectionately called was educated in the Saint Louis Public Schools. She graduatedfrom Benton Elementary School and Soldan High School. "Na" was extremely good in math and dealing with numbers after attending accounting school. Naomi Ruth Cothrine wedded Archie Lee Johnson, Jr. She went on to be a wonderful homemaker and mother. She was humorous. If you knew her then you knew not to be offended by her witty personality and outspoken voice. When around her, you would be either 'laughing or crying from laughing". Beneath her outspoken, fun personality was a "LO VE" that was felt by all. "Na" was a colorful person and enjoyed adorning herself with various styles of shades andjewelry. Other pastime favorites were wearing her "red" lipstick, that enhanced her beauty and enjoying her Pepsi, snickers and peppermints. For years Naomi Ruth graciously persevered multiple health challenges. Her children, brothers, and sisters graced her with prayer as she stood on her faith and the promise of God that she was already healed.
