Murry Tanksley, Jr.

Life Reflections Murry (known to most as Tank) Tanksley, Jr. was born on July 25, 1939 in Collinsville, MS to the union of Murry and Sylvia Tanksley. Tank graduated from Little Rock High School in Dekalb, MS, he later relocated to St. Louis, MO. Tank received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and united with Little Zion Church at DeKalb, MS. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Elmwood Park in St. Louis, MO, where he served as a trustee. He later united with First Baptist Church of Webster Groves in St. Louis, MO. Tank's parent, three sisters: Beadie Martin, Luna Mae Jackson, and Kola Caswell; three brothers: Osami Tanksley, Douglas Tanksley, and Ray Cee Tanksley all preceded him in death. Tank was united in Holy Matrimony to Eunice Harmon on December 7, 1963. To this union, two children were born Cecelia and Mario Tanksley. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all. Tank was employed by the Orchard Corp until his retirement. lie was a very kind hearted, meek person. You could always find him working in his yard or at a card table playing bid whist. Tank went from death to life on May 3, 2020. He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Eunice Tanksley; two children, Cecelia Casey and Mario (Kellie) Tanksley; six grandchildren, Robert Casey, Courtney Tanksley, Blake Hall, Morgan Tanksley, Megan Tanksley and Madison Tanksley; two great-grandchildren, Mase and Mila Cox all of St. Louis, M0; two sisters, Williar D. Pringle of Toledo, OH and Jessie Rose (Tommie) Greer of Saginaw, MI; two sisters-in-law, Patricia D. (Agoncillo) Hughes of Houston, TX and Beverly Harmon of St. Louis, MO; two brothers-in-law, Roosevelt Caswell, and Edward L. Harmon, Jr. (Rose); and a host of other relatives and friends.
