Life Reflections Kenneth Lloyd Franklin (Kenny) was born on July 4, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri. He departed this life to be with the Lord on June 21, 2021. Kenneth was the oldest of three children born to William and Willie Mae Franklin. He married Beverly Taylor and born to this union were Timothy, Kim Eric and Emmanuel Franklin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly Taylor Franklin, and a son, Emmanuel Franklin. Kenneth later met and was united in holy matrimony to Mary Alice Winston. Mary Alice had three sons, Jeffery, Rodney and Donald who Kenneth raised as his own. Kenneth attended Douglas high School and upon graduation joined the United States Air Force at the age of 17 and then retired after 20 years of service. Soon after his retirement, Kenneth gained employment at the United States Post Office and a short time later the Lord called him into ministry under the United Methodist Church. An avid student, Kenneth graduated from Eden Seminary and then on to St. Paul School of Theology at Kansas City, Missouri where he earned a doctorate of theology. lie served many churches in both Kansas and Missouri. Bestowed on Kenneth were numerous degrees and accolades. Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Mary Alice Franklin, two sisters, Susie Mitchell (Sylvester) and Regina Martin, five sons, Kim Eric Franklin (Stacey),Timothy Franklin (Deborah), Jeffery Winston (Patricia), Rodney Winston and Donald Winston,17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
