Life Reflections Maurine Hollimon was om to Edgar and Carrie Moody on December 24. 1928 in El Dorado, Arkansas, Maurine was raised in a Christian Home and confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age. Maurine was educated in the Arkansas Public Schools and later, attended Southern University in Louisiana. She met and married Dodwell "Dee' Hollimon; they enjoyed life together raising and coaching their children. They were blessed to have shared forty-eight years of marriage at the time of his passing in January of 1998.Maurine joined membership with St. Luke AME Church and served as a faithful member as a Stewardess and Missionary of St. Luke AME Church. Atter welcoming Pastor Claudine E. Murphy with open arms, she renewed her covenant with Christ and her fellow-ship with St. Luke AME. She pledged to exercise her faithful service and commitment to Christ and St. Luke by assisting Pastor Murphy in organizing a new and inspiring group of Acolytes for St. Luke AME Church. This gave her great joy to have her grandsons serve the altar of the church where she loved and joyously prepared for commun-ion service. Her "best feelings' were joining St. Luke AME Church; she was proud of it.In addition to her academic training, dedicated Christian Stewardship and service at St. Luke AME, she also worked for the Board of Education for twenty years. In the later years of her life, she relocated to Phoenix, Arizona with her granddaughter, Felicia Wallace and family, where she remained until she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and remained until the time of her death and demise on June 23, 2019. Ironically, here wedding anniversary was June 18th. leaving to rejoice in her celebration of eternal life, renewal and reunion with her Dee and loved ones awaiting her arrival to her eternal home! To God be the Glory, for all the many, many wonderful things He has done for her and through her as His "vessel of Love". She leaves to cherish her memory: five sons - Michael L. Hollimon (Stephanie) of Wichita, Kansas. Andrew B. Hollimon (Beatrice) of West Palm Beach, Florida, Randall David Hollimon (Gwen) of Houston, Texas, Daryl Wayne Hollimon (Debbie) of Los Angeles, Califomla and Marcus B. Hollimon (Jane) of Las Vegas, Nevada; one daughter - Karla Hollimon of Saint Louis. Missouri; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; one sister-in-law - Pearlie Williams; One brother-in-law - Ronald Henry Hollimon (Wendy); and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends..
