Life Reflections Mary Ann Cobb-Randle was born on the 24th day of February in 1941 to the late Wilson Robert Cobb and Gladys Louise Stewart. Mary accepted God early in life and was raised and continued her life as a devout Catholic. She was baptized at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Robertson, MO, where she was born and raised during her childhood years. In 1951 she moved to California, and although this is not the state in which she was born, she believed no other place on earth is better than sunny California. Ann graduated with her associates degree from St. Louis Community College Flo Valley, where she would often take her grandson and give him homework to do in the hall while she focused on hers. She went on to work for the state as a probation and parole officer. Later Ann answered her calling by helping to launch the Lets Start Program, along with two other women and a nun (Sister Jackie). The program was developed to break the cycle of incarceration in families by working with formerly incarcerated women and their children. This program also was to support recovery and mitigate the impact of parental imprisonment, educate the public and inform policy. She went on to work at Annie Malone Children's and Family Service Center where she was able to spread her compassion for # helping the disadvantaged. Ann was a woman who loved to have fun. She never missed a photo opportunity and was the best at posing. She loved cooking, sewing, and watching her stories. More than anything loved her family and friends. Wherever she resided, her house was always filled with people. tier door was always open, something was always on the stove, and music was always playing. Mary slowed down a little when she was diagnosed with COPD. This illness snowballed into many different procedures and hospital visits for years to come until it finally claimed her life. Mary Ann was called home on February 10, 2013 in her home. She was a proud mother of three children: Gary J. (wife Rauchel) Anderson and two daughters, who preceded her in death, Rita Anderson and Laieba Gates. Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memory: her last surviving brother, David (wife Hameeda) Abdullah; grandchildren, Marc Daillo (wife Andrea) Woolfolk, Emerald Gates, Brandon (wife Latoya) Moller, Angel (husband Algernon Clove), Jachina, Gary .Jr.. and Maisha Anderson. She was also blessed with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. Interment:St. Mary's Cemetery5200 Fee Fee RoadBridgeton, MO .
