ObituaryMajorite N. Jones was born to the union of Geneva and Milton Hardy on May 16, 1939 in rlickory Withe, Tennessee. She was educated in the St. Louis Public School System and worked at McDonnell Douglas Corp. About 20 years before giving up the lucrative job to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. Marjorite excelled at earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Louis University while working full-time and raising a family. She took her first long-term nursing position at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, friends and colleagues remem- ber her as an excellent nurse who was a fierce advocate for her patients. Marjorite enjoyed her career as a devoted nurse for nearly 20 years before retiring. She lived a rich life, full of laughter, and enjoy her families and attending church, playing board games and gardening. She enjoyed spending time and going out to lunch with her sister, decorating her home, and crocheting. She was an avid reader. Majorite was married to Charles F. Jones and the two re- mained together for over 40 years. From this union came three children: Charles F. Jones, Jr. (deceased), Steven Ge- rard Jones (deceased) and Barbara D. Robinson-Wailes. Marjorite is survived by: daughter, Barbara (Sylvain) Wailes; grandson, Christopher T. Robinson; sister, Willistine Ilardy Williams; uncle, Joe King; aunts, Mahalia King and Vivian King; nieces, Kimberly Williams, Carole Jackson, Tracy Williams Martin; cousins, Robert L. King, Yvonne King-Younger, Anthony King, Jackie King; and a host of other relatives and friends.Interment:Memorial Park Cemetery5200 Lucas & Hunt RoadSt. Louis, MO 63121 .
