August 10, 1924 — September 17, 2011

Celebrating LifeMargaret Irene Shepperd was born on Sunday, August 10, 1924 in Robertsville, MO. She was the second of seven children born to John Edward Shepperd and Gertrude Mary Sweezer. Her father called her his little "Bunny" and she's been Bunny ever since. After her family moved to Webster Groves, Bunny attended Douglass School for both grade school and high school. She graduated in 1942 and like so many others, went to work for the war effort at the St. Louis Army Ammunition Plant or the Small Arms Plant as it was known. In March of 1944, she married her childhood sweetheart, James Wilbert McCall. Bunny and Skeets had 4 children. But many nieces, nephews and neighborhood kids called her "Mom Bunny". In addition, she was their beloved "Marcy" to generations of Fries and Hawken children. On Saturday, September 17, 2011, she went peacefully to her eternal home where her mother, father and little sister, Arita, were waiting for her. While grateful for the peace she found, Bunny will be forever loved by her devoted husband, James "Skeets" McCall; Karen (Sylvester) Mozee, Cathy Hart, James "Jamie" McCall, Jr. and Loris "Mikie" (Fred) Williams will grieve for their Mama; And Nonni will always be remembered by her grandchildren, Kyron Mozee, Kristin Williams, Kasey (Billye) Mozee and Brandon Williams and her great Kayla, Kyra, Kamryn, Kaden and Karter. Her sisters and brothers, Theola "Tulie" Woolfork, Lillian "Dolly" Parker, Glenn "Petey" (Aletha) Shepperd, Marion "Mamie" (Dorsey "Dee") Jessup, Mary Lee "Dee Dee" Johnson and Melvin "Smokey" McCall cherish a lifetime of memories. Bunny, Mom Bunny, Aunt Bunny, Ms. Bunny will be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and many, many friends. .
