Life ReflectionsMAGNOLIA WALLEY GUYTON, was born in Stateline, MS on June 18, 1924. She was the oldest daughter of Leonard Walley and Annie Mae Walley. Maggie came to St. Louis, Missouri in 1942. She cooked at several St. Louis hotels and in later years she did domestic work. She met and married Burnell Cuyton, Sr. She accepted Christ and united with the first Missionary Baptist Church of Robertson in the early 70's, under the leadership of Reverend Robert S. Johnson, Sr. She served as an Usher and faithful member until her health begin to fail. Maggie passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 11:05 P.M. at the Pillars Nursing Home in Florissant, Missouri. She was the loving and devoted mother of Jesse Walley and Burnell Guyton; dear mother-in-law of Cynthia Walley and Denise Guyton; dear sister of George Walley, and Leonard Walley, Jr. of Mississippi and Elmira Coley of Los Angeles, CA; beloved grandmother to Eric Walley, Sheila Porter, Sean Williams, and Kaylan Guyton; sister-in-law to Laverne Walley; great-grandmother of Maryssa Walley and Taryn Porter; After the death of her sister, Mabel and her husband, Maggie assumed the responsibility of raising their five sons and considered them her sons as well; Willie (deceased), Marvin, Gerald, Noel, and Lamont Wren; She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who loved her. Interment -Oak Grove CemeterySt.. Louis, MO 63133 .
