Obituary Louie Phiooip Wade, III was born on January 7, 1947 to Theresa Dawkins and Louie Wade. His oldest sister, Helen, his youngest sister, Jacquelyn, amd his brother Larry Wade preceded him in death. Louie attended Sumner and Soldan High School. After obtaining his G.E.D., he joined the U.S. Army where he served two tours of duty from 1964-1970. Following are the honors Louie achieved while heroically serving his country:(1.) National Defense Service Medal(2.) Combat Infrantryman's Badge(3.) Parachutist Badge(4.) Army Commendation medal(5.) Vietnam Service Medal(6.) Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device After being discharged from the Army, Louie returned to St. Louis studied engineering at Florissant Valley Community College, and worked for several years at Delhaven Nursing Home in a Supervisory position. In 1987 Louie moved to Chicago, IL. He worked as a maintenance Supervisor for the Hispanic Housing Development Authority for almost two decades. As a teenager, Louie was an outstanding bowler. He was a member of the "New Kids on the Block" bowling league in Chicago. He also enjoyed playing softball, as well as being an avid fan of football and basketball. he leaves to cherish his memory: the love of his life, Regina Rodriguez; one daugter, Bridgett Wade Smalls and one stepdaughter.
