Lonnie Julius Jefferies

Life Reflections Lonnie Julius Jeffries, was born in Robertson, Missouri, to the late John Sr. and Estella Jeffries on July 19,1944. At an early age Lonnie loved to tinker with vehicles and motorcycles. Lonnie was a very outgoing young man full of life and laughter who always had a smile on his face with a gift of gab. He was baptized at an early age by the Rev. James E. Butler. He attended Fairmount Elementary School, Soldan High School for one year and graduated from Berkeley Sr. High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy during the early mid 60's and was stationed in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was transferred to Vietnam where he completed two tours. He earn the rank Qf E4 while in the service, and was stationed aboard a Naval hospital ship as a Postal Director. Upon his return from his military tour, he married Patricia Moore. Lonnie became a Licensed Insurance Agent after his discharge from the Navy, and worked for Western Southern Life Insurance Company. After becoming acquainted with "Chief" AKA Leon James, Lonnie was convinced that he should become a Robertson Firefighter. He served over 20 plus years as a firefighter. His final rank was Deputy Chief of the Robertson Fire Protection District. Also, within those 20 years, he continued his education at St. Louis Community College - Florissant Valley. He received degrees from the Firefighter Program, Emergency Medical Technician Program, and the Automotive and Diesel Mechanic's Training Program. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia; parents, John Sr. and Estella Jefferies, brother, Donald Jefferies, and brother-in-law Hugh Welch. He leaves to cherish his memory, children: daughterf Adele Duba (son-in law, Doug)f sons, Paul Moor~ (daughter-in-law, Le), Brendon Jeffries (daughter-in-Iawf Robynne)f and Shawn Jeffries; brotherf John Jeffries Jr. (sister-in-law, Fran)f sistersf Nola Welchf Ruby Craig (brother-in-Iawf Theodore)f and sister-in-Iawf June Jeffries; six grand childrenf three great grand children, a host of niecesf nephew, cousins, and friends.
