Lois Marie Greene Williams-Harris

Life ReflectionsLois Marie Greene Williams Harris was born on January 6, 1933 to the union of Johnie C. and Bessie Adams Greene in Thomasville, Georgia. Lois attended Normal Park Elementary School and graduated from Douglass High School in Thomasville, GA. She made good grades, loved to read and was a cheerleader. She professed a life in Christ at an early age, at Providence Missionary Baptist Church of Thomasville, Georgia. Lois met Denzell Williams while they attended Douglass Nigh School. They married on August 7, 1954. To this union three children were born, Andrea, David and Karl Williams. They moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1960, and she became a member of First Baptist Church of Webster Groves. In 1969 Lois met and married Eugene Harris and to this union one child was born, Regina Lynne Harris. She was employed at St. Louis City Hospital #1, St. Louis County Hospital, and VA Medical Center at Jefferson Barracks where she retired due to illness. Lois always wore a smite and enjoyed her work as a nurse assistant and often stated, I am a people person not a paper pusher. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, one brother, Alphonzo Greene and three sisters, Doris Hollis, Alice Sanders, and Juanita Smith, one nephew, Mark Jackson and her stepson, Lamont Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, David and Karl Williams; two daughters, Andrea Jones (Trent) and Regina Kent (Roosevelt); five grandchildren, Andre Gardner (Melvina), Courtney Estes-Williams, Nigel Harris-Scott, Janiyah and Joseph Kent; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Davion, Tabitha, DeAndre, and Aaliyah; three nephews, Ronald, Michael and Dennis; and four nieces, Debra, Denise, Beth and Evette; and a host of other relatives and friends.
