Life ReflectionsLloyd "June Bugg" Burgett was born Lloyd Jones to Cordell and Mary Jones on November 29, 1933. After the death of his father, Lloyd was blessed to be raised by a loving and caring father, August Burgett. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Michael and Kenny, and grandson Kenny Jr. In his early years, Lloyd was raised in Kinloch, Missouri and later moved to Meacham Park; then to Kirkwood. June graduated from Douglass High School in Webster Groves. In 1953, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served until 1956.June married Vertie Works and to that union, one son, Lloyd Albert was born. In 1971, June married Mattie Hutch. They had two sons, Michael and Bruce.As a child, June was a member of Harrison Avenue Missionary Baptist Church. As an adult, he became a member of St. Matthew Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. June worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and retired after 35 years of service. He then joined the Parkway School District as a Bus Driver and most recently worked at the Biker's Corner. June Bugg enjoyed having a good time. He played bid whist, liked bowling, serving parties and of course going on "the boat". After his 84th birthday, June confessed that he'd had a good life and that God had been good to him. Lloyd "June Bugg" Burgett will live forever in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew him especially his wife, Mattie., two sons, Lloyd A. (Grace) and Bruce (Rhonda); one daughter, Cavitt (Otis) Thomas; Grandsons, Lloyd June, Jay, Bruce Jr. (Melissa), Christopher (Courtney), Brandon (Deaundrea), Kolby and William; grand-daughters, Michelle (William) Beverly and Yolanda Pullings; great-grandchildren, Damon, Aysia, Dylan, Christyna, Steven, Tyron, Karla, Bruce, Jana, Brooklyn, Dallas and Steele; sisters, Agnes Phipps, Linda Jones (Ronald) and Sharon Kay Pearson; brother-in-law, Thomas Watkins; members of the Crown Royal's Motorcycle Club, Biker's Corner, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
