ObituaryLillian Beatrice Burnside-Williams was born August 12th, 1937 to Nolenand Ethel Burnside in Poplar Grove, Arkansas. She was a strong, kindhearted, God fearing woman until God called her home. Her husband, mother, father and five brothers preceded her in death. For years she served God by ushering in the church, leading praise and worship, and being a faithful. dedicated church member whose face was always seen in service ... smiling. She wedded Benjamin Williams January l st. 1999 after retiring from Light Metals (Grand Rapids, MI) with over 20 years of service. Together they moved to st. Louis, MO to honor her commitment to her brother John, and sisters-in-law, Pearl and Bobbi. While residing in St. Louis "Sis" also worked at N&R Block as CSP for over 7 years. Lillian became a member of Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Reverend Harry E. Walls III. She came to Jesus at an early age under the pastoral of Reverend A.L. Patterson of Poplar Grove, Arkansas; then moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan where she united with New Nope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rever- end Donnell Smith. She leaves to mourn her passing: son, Michael Williams (wife, Tatanisha); daughter, Pat Jenkins (husband, Ed); three grandchildren, Fonda Williams of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Michael Lloyd Williams of Norfolk, Virginia, and Deangelo Sim- mons of Chicago, Illinois; also seven stepchildren, eight step- grandchildren, and 10 step great-grandchildren, six sisters-in- law, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. The family would like to thank you gratefully with sincere appreciation for your comforting expressions of sympathy and every act of kindness during our bereavement. We would also like to extend our deepest appreciation to Pearl Burnside and Bobbi Johnson of St. Louis for their love, support and continu- ation of friendship to the woman we came to celebrate known by many names: Momma, Granny, Lillian, Liz, Aunt Bae, and most known as "Sis."
