Liberia Hunt was born to the late James Hunt Jr. and Patricia Hunt and lived a life marked by dedication, faith, service, and love for family and community,
Liberia attended Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, Missouri, where she excelled academically and graduated as the Valedictorian of her senior class. Following high school, she continued her education at Maryville University, where she pursued a degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Liberia had a deep passion for helping children and desired to support young people in developing their language and communication skills.
She was united in holy matrimony to Kenny Seavey. She was actively involved in community service and leadership. She was a proud member and a former President of Jack and Jill of America Inc., where she worked to support youth development and strengthen families and communities.
Her faith was an important part of her life. Liberia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized. Liberia attended All Nations Christian Church, where she served on the Outreach Community Ministry, helping to extend compassion and support to others in the community,
Liberia dedicated more than 25 years of service to Bi-State Metro Transportation Company. She was known for her strong work ethic, commitment, and dedication to her job until her retirement.
Liberia will be remembered for her kindness, leadership, faith, and devotion to her family and community,
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her mother, Patricia Hunt; two sons, Roosevelt Clayborn and Gunnell Jones; one daughter, Gunnett Jones; one sister, Tanzania Hunt; and one brother, Zizwe Zimbabwe Hunt. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her life and legacy.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the faith she carried will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and service will never be forgotten.
