Life ReflectionsBorn May 26, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri, Levon Davis, Sr., age 66, son of ThelmaRussell and John Henry Nicholos (biological). Levon had several fathers whoserved as role models in his life; step-father, Raymond John Russell an adoptivefather, Herbert Davis. Married Cecilia McBride (St. Louis, Missouri) June 26, 1982.He is proceded in death by his mother and fathers. Levon leaves to emulate hislife: wife, Cecilia; 2 daughters, Theresa Davis and andrea Davis; 3 sons, LevonDavis, Jr. (Teela), Travis McBride, Jr., and Scott McBride; 2 brothers, Earl Russell(Sylaia) and Vannie Russell (Joyce); 2 sisters, Maggie Russell and Juanita Nichols;sister-in-law, Celeste McBride; brother-in-law, Malcolm Woodley (Ladoris) and 17grandchildren, Alexis (Tony), Devon, Kayla, Jordan, Justin, Cedric, Ashley, IvanAutumn, Travis, III, Aubree, Justice, Sachet, Scottie,m Jr., Alexis M., Dionte andSamuel; 6 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Bestfriends who are like brothers, Sylvester Dunn (Jenny), John Fulkner (Donna), BakeMcBride and Jerome Bibbs and lots of friends whom he loved.Lee dedicated his life to Christ at an early age at Wayman Temple A.M.E, Church (St. Louis, Missouri). He united with First Missionary Baptist Church of Robertson, March 19, 2006. There he served on the Pastor Support Ministry, Layman Ministry,Chairman of the Scholarship Ministry and Music Ministry.Levon graduated from O'Fallon Tech (St. Louis Missouri) and served proudly inthe United States Army (1968-1970 - Honorable Discharge). In addition, Lee wasalso a Mastor Mason 3rd Degree Jr. Warden. He retired March 2010 from the St.Louis Post Dispatch (30 year Newspaper mailer).Levon leaves a lingering , loving legacy which truly left his imprint in this physicallife He loved his church and family more than anything. He had the highestdegree any man could have for his pastor, Rev. Cornelius Osby. They didn'talways see eye-to-eye (height of in word), but he would cut someone over thepastor.The passion Lee had for coaching T-ball to American Legion for his sons and theirfriends was indescribable. They always referred to his as "Pops". He taught themthe best he could on becoming men and how to treat women.Lee had standards and was true to himself and his beliefs. He stood firm andrarely bit his tongue. He loved his family and most of all he loved his wife (Cecilia)- "Ride or Die Chick", "His Queen" and "Bestest Girl" were his words.-We Love him & Will miss him dearly-Interment:Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery2600 Sheridan AvenueSt. Louis, MO 63126 .
