Life Reflections "Lessly", Leslie was born on November 12, 1935 to Robert and Roberta Cavin in Coahoma, Mississippi. He was the third child born to this union. His sisters, Nell Cavin and Lillie Mae (Brown) Cavin preceded him in death. Leslie grew to love and eventually marry Miss Gladys Ruth Woods. To this union two children, Kim Leslie Cavin and Rodney Cavin, were born. They both preceded their father in death. In 1970, Leslie met and fell in love with Ms. Mildred James. This loving union produced their loving daughter, Heaven. Leslie, or Les as he was better known, was employed as the Maintenance and Custodial Supervisor for Webster Groves Presbyterian Church for over 30 years. He officially retired in March of 2012, but would still often spend his time handling duties at the church. He was an invaluable asset to the Webster Groves Presbyterian family. Leslie joined Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Kory Ellis. Leslie was a devoted church member. Leslie was blessed to spend the last thirteen years of his life with his love, Ms. Lorene Granberry. On Friday, May 3, 2019, the Master decided to add another to his garden of everlasting peace. A chariot was sent to give Leslie his long awaited ride to Glory. Leslie will be lovingly remembered by his sons and daughters, Hardie James, Valarene Simpson, Shiela Campbell (Pierre), Paul James, and Heaven Gray ( Edward); his sister, Florence "Bea" Cadamey; his loving partner, Lorene Granberry; eleven grandchildren, fifty four great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
