It is with deepest regret and sorrow that we announce that Larry Gene McDaniels, Sr. peacefully departed from this world on September 19th, 2025. He passed at the age of 75 from Parkinson dementia.

 Larry was born on May 11th in Moro, Arkansas. Larry was an exciting and accomplished man who lived his life the way he wanted. He was the beloved son of Walter McDaniels, and Jearlene Kirksey.

 As a young adult, Larry received his G.E.D diploma and proceeded to become prestigious soldier in the Army. He acquired the rank of Specialist 4th class as well as commendation for Marksman with both pistol and rifle. After leaving the Army, he met Wilma McDaniels and married his loving wife on April 22nd, 1977. He then took a job at General Motors working on the assembly line putting together Corvettes. 

Reflecting upon his life, anyone who really knew Larry knows that he was a very proud man who lived his life to the fullest. He used to love repairing shoes and doing things with his hands. He also love to watch western films, mainly John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies the most. He loved Jimi Hendrix, Blues music and lots of other types of music. He also loved get-togethers and being around the people he cared about the most. He was kind to everyone and was always laughing and joking, he created a joyful atmosphere. He will forever be missed and will hold a permanent place in our hearts. 

Larry shared a strong bond with and devoted his life to his family and friends. He was a loving father to, Angela McDaniels, LaWanda McDaniels-Lay, Leigha Hamilton-Allison, and Larry McDaniels, Jr. He also has 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind 4 siblings: Lavern Doyle-Rivers, Josephine Doyle, Alice Fay Doyle and Jessie Doyle. There are also a lot of family and close friends not mentioned who will deeply miss him
