Leroy Dockett, Jr.

The Celebration of Life of Leroy (Buddy) Dockett, Jr.Leroy Dockett, Jr. was born on June 16, 1932 in Robertson, MO to Leroy, Sr. and Nellie White Dockett. He was the second oldest of seven children. His father and mother preceded him in death. Leroy, known to all as "Buddy", accepted the Lord as his Savior at an early age, under the pastorship of Rev. LEE. Butler, First, Missionary Baptist Church of Robertson. He attended and graduated from Fairmont grade school and Douglas high school in 1950. He worked at McDonnell Doug-las until 1951 when he was drafted into the Army. He went to basic training at Camp Polk, Louisiana. From there to Military Police Training in Fort Dix, New Jersey. He served as an M.P. in Tokyo, Japan. After serving in the Army he returned to McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. he was employed there for 42 years in the shipping and receiving department. Leroy "Buddy" Dockett, Jr. was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 4:30 am. at Hillside Manor. He leaves to cherish his memory forever: 2 daughters, Arlene and Alesia (Brian); 2 sons, Robin (Whitney) and Rory; 2 grandsons, Keith and Jason; eight great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters; two great-great-grandchildren; 3 broth-ers, James (Fat), Julius "Thomas" (Gwen), and Melvin "Curtis" (Kimm); 3 sisters, Josephine Woolfolk, Thelma Laplante (Ronald) and Mary "Dee Dee" Wilson, a host of other relatives and friends.
