Life ReflectionsLarry Darnell Taylor was born on October 8, 1956 in St. Louis, MO to the late Welbert Taylor, Sr. and Dorothy Taylor. His father Welbert Taylor, Sr., his brothers Welbert "Sonny: Taylor, Jr., Cleaves I.Taylor and his sister Mable I. Roberts preceded him in death.Larry was raised in Kirkwood and graduated from Kirkwood High School. He served in the Armed Forcesand received an honorable discharge on July 19, 1974. He worked over 30 years as a mechanist and loved to work on cars in his spare time. He enjoyed fishing and watching the westerns on television. Hewas the jack of all trades and knew how to fix anything that was broken. He met and married Doris Elizabeth Taylor on April 11, 1983 and they raised 4 children together. He lovedhis grandchildren and was a great role model in their lives. Larry was a father figure to many of hischildren's friends and taught them the importance of being a hard worker. He left an everlasting positiveimpression in the lives of the people he met. Larry felt proud when he was able to help someone in needand never expected anything in return. He touched the hearts of may with his kindness and always put hisfamily before his own needs.Larry accepted Christ and attended New Hope Baptist church. He departed this life on July 18, 2016 at St.John Mercy Hospital.He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 33 years, Doris Taylor; his beloved mother, Ms. DorothyTaylor; his 3 sons, Maurice Harris, Robert Harris, and Larry Harris (Danita); 2 daughters, Rayleen Robinson and Laretha Jackson (Michael); one brother, Bobby Taylor; 4 sisters, Wanda "Jean" Seals (James), UniceWandix (Vincent), Bernice Greenwood and Ann Taylor, 13 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts,uncles, cousins and friends.Interment: on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.J.B.
