Life Reflections Kattie Mae Moore was born January 6, 1917, in Carter, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents. Kattie Mae was the eldest of eight children. She departed her earthly life peacefully on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member and usher for well over 50 years at New foundation Baptist Church in Anchorage, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William Moore. To this union four children were born. In 2003, she decided to move to st. Louis, MO to be close to her family. She became a member of St. Louis Christian Center and later united with The Ark of Safety Christian Center where she was a dedicated member. Kattie Mae took great pride in being a superior homemaker, an excellent seamstress and was rarely seen without one of her fashionable hats. A warm and personable lady, she was never left speechless. Up until her very last day she enjoyed watching her favorite television shows and talking to friends and family on the phone. She was a very proud Mother, sister, cousin, aunt great aunt grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma. Kattie Mae was preceded in death by one son, James Earl Moore; brother, Joseph Williams; her sisters, Christine Mc- Coy, Annette Bowman, Charlie Mae Smith, Bessie Lee Davis; and her grandson, Pedro L. Moore. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her children, Barbara Toombs (Robert) of Itampton. VA, William L. Moore, Jr. (Celestine) of St. Louis, MO, Gloria Barnett of st. Louis, MO; two sisters, Yvonne Jones (Roberts) of st. Louis, MO, and Elois f1olcomb (Arthur Gene) of Sacramento, CA; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grand- children; two very special goddaughters, Dorothy Bradford and LaShaundrea Crook, both of f1attisburg, MS; cousins and a host of loving friends and relatives.
