Kailen James Martin

Life Reflections Kailen James Martin was born August 29, 1991 in St. Louis, Missouri to Beverly Larage and Sedrick Martin (deceased).Kailen confessed his faith in Christ and at an early age and was baptized by Rev. Michael Jones.Kailen was also affectionately known as "KK" since 2nd grade, and later picked up a new alias "Kae Lou" or just "Lou".Kailen attended schools in the hazelwood dstrict from 3rd - 12thgrades. he served as a Boy Scout during grade school and studied abroad in Costa Rico during his senior year.Kailen was very athletic and participated in several sports. He started playing T-Ball at the tender age of 5 and continued playing baseball through age 16. Kailen also played junior league basketball.Kailen loved to bowl and he was very passionate about the sport. His highest bowling acievements included a 290 game and a 700 series.In 2007 Kailen was diagnosed with Becker's Muscular Dystrophy and on February 9, 2008 he received a new heart at Children's Hospital. After his transplant Kailen worked diligently as he was very steadfast and determined to graduate with his class of 2009.Kailen served as Counselor for the Heart Camp during his Junior and Senior years. it was important to him to be a positive rle model and mentor. He also worked as an Umpire for Florissant area Athletic Association - FAAA.In may 2009 Kailen graduated from Hazelwood Central High School. Kailen then went on to attend the International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT) in Tampa, Florida.While attending IADT, Kailen met Brian Solo, Rasool Diaz and Andre Eric Proctor. They formed a musical production team called Tracksquad, later known as the "The Order". This is when he picked up the name "Kae Lou".Kailen continued his studies in IADT and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Recording Engineering in 2013.Kailen, was very intimate and he was especially passionate about developing special relationships with his family and friends. To know Kailen, aka Kae Lou was to love him!Kailen was preceded in death by his father, Sedrick Martin, grandparents, Rev. Jake and Rosie L. Martin; Grandfather, james Range Lemmie and ncle, Cderic Lemmie.Kailen was called home on Saturday, July 12, 2014. he eaves to cherish his precious memories: his mother, Beverly L. Jones; stepfather, John M. Jones, III; two sisters, Quita Stephens (Ronnie) and Lesli Janee' Stevenson; two brothers, Kevin Martin and Sedrick J. Martin; one stepsister, katina Jones; one stepbrother, Juma Jones; grand-parents, Geraldine and Rudolph bulard; grandmother, Bettie Lemmie; great aunt, Idean "Buckner; four Aunts, Mashael Martin, Glenda Fantroy (Stephen) Marguarite Hurst-Graham, and Anita D. Lemmie; three uncles, Frederick Williams, Michael Lemmie and Christopher Lemmie, honoraries "Aunt Tricie" and Malray and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Interment:Laurel Hill Cemetery2000 N.
