Julia Mae Ruffins

June 29, 1925 — February 5, 2010

Obituary JuliaMae Ruffinswas the eldest child of Sixteen, born in Pine Bluff, . Arkansas to the late James and Fannie Shields. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late George Ruffinsand gave birth to a daughter and ~" son whom both preceded her in death. She moved to Memphis, Tennessee and lived there for quite some time. Later in 1973 Julia moved to Kirkwood, Missouri. where she worked, retired and remained until he passing. JulIa was high spirited and full of laughs. She was very expressive and extremely agile for her age. She could move and jump as well as any' of her younger family members. She was a comical woman whom we will miss dearly, for to know her was to love her. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter in, law, Sally Tippins; five grandchildren, Steven, Vonda (Randy), Tara (Terry), Angela and Rosalind all of Memphis, Tennessee; fourteen great grandchildren: seven great-great-gnindchildren; three sisters, Frances Blair, Charity Wade, Ora Barry(Paul) all of St. Louis, Missouri; three brothers, Joe Shields, (Jessie), of Ponca City, OK.; George Shields (Codella), of Dumas, Arkansas.; Floyd Shields (Theresa) of Washington D.C.; two aunts, Maggie Harris of Memphis, Tennessee, Esther Simpkins of Dumas, Arkansas; a special friend Urina Riney and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, etc. Interment - Lake Charles Cemetery .
