Life Reflections Johnny Lewis Miller, son of Richard and Lee Flora Miller and Thurman Lee Bowers, Jr. stepfather, was born on December 20, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the 3rd oldest of thirteen children. His parents, 5 brothers, Richard, Savada, Jerome, Tony and Tyrone, one sister, Dorothy, one daughter, Nicole, one granddaughter, Sapphire, one great-granddaughter, Gabriel all preceded in death. Johnny attended Cobb Elementary School and Berkeley High School. Johnny professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Bridgton Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend James Goolsby in Robertson, Missouri. Johnny worked as a professional carpenter. He worked for Concord Homes and Hill BehanLumber Company. He was a Nurse Assistant at Over Brook Nursing Home in Verona, New Jersey. He also worked for Fry Wagner as a packer and mover until he retired. He joined in Holy Matrimony to Karen L. Johnson in September of 2001. Johnny was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who would do any-thing for his family and friends. Johnny always had a smile on his face and his arms folded, his signature trademark. On August 20, 2020, he was called from here to rest at the age of 70, surrounded by his family who loved him. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Karen L. Johnson; 4 sisters, Flora L. Washington, Elizabeth Jarrett (Joseph), Erma Dupree (William) and Theresa Hellerms (Willie); 2 brothers, Eugene and Herman Miller; 5 sons, Britt L. Hellems (Sonya), Johnny L. Hellems, Sr. (Danielle), Roman D. Hellems, Sr. (Tanelle), Raytheon Baynham (Latosha) and Alvin Cooper; 2 daughters, Donyell R. Hellems-Bailey (Hosea) and Danielle A. Johnson; 23 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Interment: Friedens Cemetery8941 N. BroadwaySt. Louis, MO 63137 .
