ObituaryJohn Phillip Hentz was born April 10, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late William and Charlotte Hentz. John was named after his paternal grandfather. At an early age, John was saved, he became an active member of the Brentwood Church of God in Christ. John later entered into the ministry and founded his first church at Union and Natural Bridge, he then moved to 5084 North Union. He later established the Holy Temple Church of God in Christ in Wellston, Missouri.John was united in Holy Matrimony to Mary Ann (Clark) for over 46 years. John was educated at Douglas High School in Webster Groves and served his country in both the Army and Marine Corps. John was a strong family supporter and worked various jobs to provide for his family. John will be greatly missed and leaves to cherish his memory: His loving wife, Mary Ann Hentz; his three children, John, Jr., Lorieta Lovings, and Davie Hentz; five grandchildren, KrystaL Ashley, Tiffany, Erica and Corey; two great-grandchildren, Dez and Ignacio; and two sisters, Charlotte Reid (Clyde) and Druscilla Brock (George); as well as a devoted niece and nephew; Loretta Kelly (Earnest) and Clark Leroy Porter; a favorite sister-in-law, Willie Doll Jarrett; sisters-in-law, Jean Walton and Stella Clark; brothers-in-law, Eddie Clark and Willie Clark, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
