Life ReflectionsSUNRISE: Jessie Lee Sargent was born in St. Charles, Kentucky to the late Albert and Letha Nunnon January 22, 1926. She was the 2nd child of four born to this union. They all preceded her indeath.A TIME TO LIVE: Jessie attended and graduated school in Kentucky the year 1944 with honors.After graduating she moved to Evansville, Indiana, where she joined the Nazarene Baptist Church.Jessie loved her family, especially her devoted son, her grand and great-grandchildren. She adoptedthe Lofties Family and their children as her family as they were part of the Annual Family Reunions(traveling as far as Detroit, Michigan). She sponsored many trips to many states every year for over 30 years, until family had to insist that she should pass the torch to one of her traveling partners thatwould be able to succeed her. Jessie worked for various companies; namely Reliable Life Insurance,McGraw Hill Education Company and Seiler Instrument and Manufacturing Company. Even though she typed more than 100 wpm, she didn't want to learn the computer, so she resigned from Seiler.A TIME TO PLANT: She met and married Bill Sargent. They were blessed with one child, Michael.In 1960 the family moved to St. Louis, MO with the Chrysler Plant, there Jessie joined the OldCommunity Baptist Church - later First Baptist Church Meacham Park - then again Old CommunityBaptist Church where she remained and served on the Mother's Board faithfully until her passing.SUNSET: (a time for peace): Jessie moved from her old house to eternity Tuesday, January 12, 2016 with her son at her side. She leaves to cherish her memory: a loving and devoted son, Michael (Estelle); 2 grandchildren,Michelle and Michael, Jr.; 2 great-grandchildren, Keenan and Jeremiah, 2 additional grandchildren adopted into the family, Kathy and Ashley Nebbitt; 1 brother William Potts, Jr., of Evansville, Indiana; 3 nieces, Linda McDole (Robert), and Pat Sargent of St. Louis, MO; Mary Mitten of Indianapolis, Indiana and 2 nephews, Menace Logan, Tony Sargent (JoAnn); The Lofties Family, her loyal friend, Emma Bold; her other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
