Life ReflectionsJessie B. Collier was born April 30, 1937 to Nora and James Rob.inson in Estell, J1fississippi. She wa.s the oldest of three children born to this union. Her parents preceded her in ,death. Jessie was also preceded in death by her brothers: Albert, Willie, James, Andrew and her sisters: Addie, and Ada and her God daughter Pennette. "Si.,ter Baby, " as she was affectionately known was educated in the Mississippi Public School System and moved to St. Louis, MO at an early age. Jessie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Meditation Temple Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Mother M. Morris. Jessie loved the church and until her health failed her was very active at any church that she attended. In her later years she attended, Holy Mount Rose under Pa.stor John W. Robinson and then finished her spiritual journey at The Lord's House of Prayer under the leadership of Prophetess Pearl Gary. "Sister Baby" was loved my many and always opened her home to all. She was a loving mother of six: Peggie, Arthur (June), Catherine (Cat), Percy (Maine), Jerome, and Shari. Everyone's life who Mother Collier touched can remember a special story about her that would bring a smile to anyone's face or warm the coldest of hearts. In 1970, she was united in holy matrimony to Henry (Jr.) Collier. No children were born to this union. Henry preceded her in death in July of 1983. Jessie departed this life on March 17, 2010 at 12:00pm within the comforts of her own home surrounded by the one's she loved most. She leaves to cherish and live on her legacies; her six children: Peggie Winston, Arthur Johnson, Catherine Hayes, Percy (Debra) Hayes, Jerome Johnson, and Shari (Ernest) Tensley, her sisters and brothers: Rozelliza, Isaac (Martha), Louise (Robert), her niece, Mother Minnie Gary, her special god-children: Lori, James, Clarence, Pennette(Penny) 21 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,friends, and her church family at The Lord's House of Prayer. Interment -Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery .
