Jesse Lee Kinslow

December 15, 1920 — May 12, 2019

Life Reflections Our dearly departed father, Jesse Lee Kinslow was born on December 15, 1920 to Phillip James and Mattie Buckner Kinslow in Louisville, Kentucky. His wife, June Estelle of 50 years preceded him in death. Also, both parents and sister, Gloria Maddox, two daughters, JoAnn and Janet Ann, and grandson, Darwin preceded him in death. While in high school Jesse worked two years as a Veterinarian Assistant. After graduating from Center High School he enlisted in the Army Air Core and flew out of Tuskegee Airport. He served in the military from February 1942 to November 1945. He loved flying airplanes and working with horses. He retired from the St. Louis Post Office after 40 years. He was a dedicated family man who always maintained two to three jobs to ensure his family needs were met and at the same time shared quality time with the family. He was a member of Saint Peter's Catholic Church in Kirkwood, Missouri. His confession in April 2019 was, "I'm going to the Promise Land. You watch and see". His repeated prayer was, "Now I lay we down to sleep. If I should die before I wake I Pray the Lord my soul to Keep." He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his son, James Mayfield (Corene) and his daughter Judy Louise; one Grandson Charles, four Granddaughters: Rhonda Jean, Rochel, Jessica and Lena, eleven Great Grand-children, Jacquline, Jasmine, LaRhona, LaRue, Naila Nab, Neo, Jerome III, Josiah, Abiola and Olakunle and a host of relatives and friends. A special thanks to Lena's Caring Hands and her nurses for three years of professionalism while caring for our beloved dad: Lena Randall, owner, Caroline Ingram, Danita Ralston, Cinnamon Johnson, Marshay Thorton,Jahkiiah Beyah, Joyce McClendon, and Talisa Townsend.
